At about 6am last Sunday, Writing’s on the Wall led me and Francesca on a tour of street art around the East End.
It’s one of a great many projects exploring sound on location – and whilst there are some obvious similarities, it’s heartening to know that there’s many different ways of using audio on the move.
In fact, we’ve had a few emails from people saying they’ve been recording audio around Hackney for years, with no permanent home for any of it. This is just one of the reasons I think HH is a genuinely exciting addition: pulling together sound artists across the borough and working together to create a rich, multi-layered experience.
I spoke to Pamela after the tour and tried out my first interview on Audioboo (which I’ve decided to call an ‘Interboo’).
